Rain Or Snow?

As a Canadian, we have to deal with varying temperatures and weather conditions. In Spring and Fall, we have cold rainy days that we wish we didn’t have to deal with. In Spring we will mention that the rainy weather is better than the snowy months we just had to deal with. In Fall we mention that we’d rather have snow since we don’t get soaked even though it’s a little colder. As you can tell, we have quite the predicament living here.

I decided to ask my Instagram followers what they would rather.

Question: “Would you rather it be 10°C and raining OR -10°C and snowing?”

  • Rain: 59 (54%)
  • Snow: 51 (46%)

This one was a close vote. I understand the people that would rather snow since they are most likely skiers or snowboarders. Snow is also fluffy and doesn’t completely soak you when you’re outside in it. But if there’s snow it’s also quite cold, and it seems most people would rather have that little bit of warmth with rain instead of baring the cold weather.

If You Won The Lottery, Would You Share The Wealth?

I believe everyone plays a game in their head of what they would do if they won the lottery. What would people buy? Would it be cars, houses, toys, clothes, something for others? The biggest question I wonder about others is if they’ll share with everyone or if they would limit it to themselves and family.

When someone wins the lottery there are stories of long-lost relatives magically popping up with sob stories to get their hands on some of the winnings. Some people do need the money, while others are just doing it to get their chance at free money.

I decided to ask my Instagram followers what they would do in this situation.

Question: “You win 10 million in the lottery. Do you share it with others/donate OR keep it to yourself (including family)?”

  • Spread the wealth: 29 (34%)
  • I won. Me & family it is: 57 (66%)

About two-thirds of people voted to keep the money to themselves and their family. One-third of people said they would spread the wealth with others. In this question, I tried to make it harder to decide if someone would share the money or not by keeping the winnings smaller in lottery terms. So if you know someone who won the lottery, chances are if you’re not related to them you won’t be getting much of their winnings.

Should I Tell Everyone It’s My Friend’s Birthday?

People have their own preference when it comes to their birthday. Some like to have a birthday week, celebrating every day and letting the world know they’re getting older. Others like to keep it low-key and enjoy the day with their closest friends and family.

When you don’t know someone very well you might wonder if you should wish them a Happy Birthday in front of everyone or give your wishes quietly. I decided to ask my Instagram followers what they prefer.

Question: “Would you rather everyone know your birthday and yell it in front of everyone OR keep it on the down low and hope for quiet birthday wishes?”

  • Yell it. Give me attention: 28 (31%)
  • Thank you, but shh.: 61 (69%)

As you can see, the majority of people are thankful for the birthday wishes but hope you do it quietly. Before you make a big deal of someone’s birthday, it may be worth telling them quietly first! Or if you’re like others, this gives you a better reason to be loud about it and embarrass them. In the end, who doesn’t like birthday wishes.
